Dating Coach & Matchmaker
My name is Laura Buckley. I’m a Matchmaker, Dating Coach and Founder at Secret Alchemy. I’m also now very excited to be a co-founder of The Single Sessions!!
I set up Secret Alchemy following a 21-year career as a Probation Officer. Whilst I was exhausted by all the trauma, I wasn’t ready to stop working with people. I love people, behaviour, and psychology. I also love talking about dating and relationships, so starting a business that encompasses all these things seemed like the perfect direction for me.
A little bit about me, I’m 43 (I’m not sure how that happened!), I’ve lived in Brighton for about 8 years now and I’m really happy here. I’m married to John, and we have a 5-year-old son called Jackson, who keeps me on my toes!
Before I married John, I was single for about 11 years. There were lots of dates, situationships and dramas in that time, but I was miserable. Unlike Lyndsey, I was not a happy single and I repeated toxic patterns and struggled with my self-esteem and loneliness. I had such a horrid time dating and this is one of the main reasons that I set up this business. I wish I had had a coach to get me through the tough times, to help me break the patterns and to support me to stop valuing my self-worth against whether I was in a relationship or not.
My mission in life is now to help singles to put the spark back into their dating life. Whether that’s helping them to breakdown toxic patterns in order to date differently, or to find dates or to just be happy being single. Whatever obstacle you’re facing with dating – we’ve got you!
Meeting Lyndsey felt like a meeting of minds.. and hearts! We share a vision and values that mean that this is where we’re meant to be. We have so many exciting ideas and opportunities coming up for you.

My name is Lyndsey, I'm the proud founder of Connected Brighton - your Social Concierge. And now co-founder of The Single Sessions - Sussex Dating with a difference.
I'm Brighton born and bred, divorced with no kids and, wait for it, single!
Wait, did she just say she's single? And she's helping single professionals find a date. Where's her date...
That's right. I'm single. More shocking, I'm happy single. And I'm single because there hasn't been a right choice for me (yet)! But thanks to doing lots of work on myself post divorce I'd rather be happy single than unhappy in a couple.
I have a brilliant full and free life, which I love and live to the max. I'm Brighton born and bred, I love socialising, time with my family and friends, travel and trash TV. I also love my business, I've never felt more empowered or purposeful as I do as an entrepreneur.
My role in The Single Sessions, as well as sharing my experience, hosting events and coaching is to show you how to be happy single. Good choices come when you love yourself first, I've learnt that and I want to share that with you too.
